Attention all Munich commuters and visitors! There will be significant changes to the S-Bahn services within the city from Friday, May 9th at approximately 10:20 PM until Monday, May 12th, 2025, at around 4:40 AM. These changes are due to essential maintenance work.
Key S-Bahn Service Changes:
- Stammstrecke:
- Replacement bus services will operate between Pasing and Hauptbahnhof.
- For travel between Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof/Giesing/Leuchtenbergring, please use other MVV transport options.
- S 1: Trains to/from Freising/Flughafen will start/end at Hauptbahnhof. Trains will run non-stop from/to Moosach, with some services starting or ending there.
- S 2:
- Trains to/from Petershausen will start/end at Heimeranplatz (Platform 11), running non-stop to/from Obermenzing with a 30-minute interval.
- Trains to/from Altomünster will operate as per the usual schedule between Dachau and Altomünster.
- Trains to/from Erding will start/end at Leuchtenbergring.
- S 3:
- Trains to/from Holzkirchen will start/end in Giesing.
- Trains to/from Mammendorf will start/end in Pasing, with departures from Track 6.
- S 4:
- Trains to/from Geltendorf will start/end in Pasing, with departures from Track 7.
- Trains to/from Trudering will be out of service between Pasing and Trudering.
- S 5:
- Trains to/from Kreuzstraße will start/end in Giesing.
- Trains to/from Pasing will not operate between Pasing and Giesing.
- S 6:
- Trains to/from Ebersberg will start/end at Leuchtenbergring.
- Trains to/from Tutzing will start/end at Hauptbahnhof and run non-stop to/from Pasing.
- S 7: Trains will follow the regular route, with evening service variations from around 11:30 PM.
- S 8:
- Trains towards Flughafen will run non-stop between Pasing and Ostbahnhof, skipping Leuchtenbergring.
- Trains towards Herrsching will not stop at Leuchtenbergring and will run non-stop between Ostbahnhof and Pasing.
Alternate Transport & Replacement Bus Services:
Replacement buses will serve the following stops:
- Pasing: Carossastraße
- Laim: Landsberger Straße
- Hirschgarten: Friedenheimer Brücke at the S-Bahn station
- Donnersbergerbrücke: Arnulfstraße, both sides
- Hackerbrücke: Arnulfstraße, both sides
- Hauptbahnhof: Elisenstraße
